The Google Wave AmazonBot just received a tiny update adding support for querying a single Amazon.com department e.g Electronics or Software. Anyone who has spent any time shopping for items on Amazon can agree there is too much good stuff. We realized that as convenient as it is to carry a conversation on Google Wave with the AmazonBot running in the background, the results may be too scattered. A simple query for ‘iPhone’ may return results from Amazon Books, Electronics, or Wireless. Now you can trigger a query for results from a single department both inside of a conversation or from the gadget itself.

With AmazonBot added to your Wave, the following will run a standard query on Amazon.com:

amazon: keywords

To narrow search results down, use the following:

amazon-[department]: keywords

Replace [department] with any one of the following:
